Our Team
Years 2 and 3 originally started this project. They started researching and finding information about our school. The year 2 and 3's took photos of the Old Hall and old artefacts of our school. Our class of year 8 helped the year 2 and 3's make posters of the photos they took. Then they decided to make this information accessible to the public. Our year 8 class then helped them edit and complete the information so that we could put the information onto the Living Heritage website. We have gathered the history of our school and split the information into groups. Then we split the class into groups to write about the topic for the website. One of the groups wrote to our school's architect to ask for a professional opinion. We have groups working on the history of our school, Katherine Mansfield because she is tied into the history, The Ghost Tower story, our school houses, the curriculum links and the photo gallery. On some of these articles we had to ask Ms Pivac (Deputy Principal) about the history of our school. We have Mrs McDonnell, Mrs Fraser and Mrs Edwards helping us to create our presentations and stories.
While working with the year 2 and 3's we learnt about working together, helping others and co-operation. We also learnt that you have to be patient with one and other and we learnt to be friendly and helpful towards each other. Overall we learnt how to work as a team.
