Honours Board

The reason we have the honours board to remember the people who have done their best in their lives. We hope that these honours boards will inspire Queen Margaret College girls to do their best too.

Jane Campion

Jane Campion went to Queen Margaret College an old girl. Once she left she became a film director. Some of the films she directed were Angel at my Table, The Piano, The Portrait of a Lady and others. She has won three awards the: Palme d'Or in 1993, The Silver Lion in 1990 and an Academy Award in 1994. She is one of the most talented female directors in the world and we hope that she will inspire the young girls of Queen Margaret College to achieve their best.

Jan Smith ( Newton-Howes )

Jan Smith ( Newton-Howes )is also a Queen Margaret College old girl. When she left she wanted to be a scientist, not any scientist, a genetic scientist. When she went to study she was one of a few people to be studying genetics. She still keeps on going with her studies now and she is coming across new experiences everyday.

Dr Diana Bridge ( Newton-Howes )

Dr Diana Bridge ( Newton-Howes) went to Queen Margaret with her sister Jan. Once she left Queen Margaret she went and studied poetry. When she met her husband she had to go with him because of his job. Along the way she studied more and more about poetry. She learned how to speak Asian languages and loved Japanese poetry.
